Shargole declared fully immunized against Hepatitis B

VOL/10 April/ Baqirya Health Care and Research Centre Kargil (Health Wing of IKMT)  moving towards success on it's mission “Hepatitis B Free Kargil”, covered all the nooks and corners of Shargol in its 3rd and final dose of vaccination under the campaign against hepatitis B.  With the final stage of campaign against Hepatitis B,today on 10th April 2018 the hepatitis B vaccination program concluded with the last destination of Pashkum and the peripheral areas. During the mission the team of paramedical staff and supporting volunteers of BHC&RC worked day and night tirelessly, enthusiastically and energetically  to accomplish the first stage as a part of vision 2020 mission Hepatitis B free Kargil.
     A closing ceremony was organized by the general public of Pashkum as a token of love and appreciation at immambarah Pashkum for the tremendous efforts under the leadership of Dr Willayat Ali president BHC&RC. The program was attended by the BMO Shargole, Doctors, volunteers, senior citizens, local public and students. In this event on behalf of Shargol in general and Pashkum in particular, Mr Mohd Baqir Ex CEO extended thanks and gratitude for thescreening and vaccination program in Shargole tehsil in the initial stage. BMO Dr Mohd Abbas also extended thanks and ensured his support in future. During the program president BHC&RC also extended thanks and gratitude to all the people of  Shargol, Councilor Shargole, Councilor Pashkum, Doctors and paramedical staff, supporting volunteers for making the mission successful. President Dr willayat in his speech elaborated that the mission was impossible without this help, support and appreciation from LAHDC Kargil, District administration DC/CEO Kargil, BMO shargole,media persons and AIR Kargil. He also thanked Mr. Nasir Shabani who facilitated to raise financial aid through Al-Iman Charity Mumbai.
It's pertinent to mention here that with this final dose Shargol tehsil declared fully immunized against Hepatitis B and loudly announced the next screening and vaccination program in Chiktan block from the next month .

Leh Rural pockets to be developed at par with urban areas:  CEC

Leh/April 13/ Chief Executive Coucilor, Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council  (LAHDC),  Dorjey Motup who is also the chairman of General Council Meeting has said that LAHDC is making concerted efforts to develop all the rural pockets at par with urban areas.
This was stated by the CEC on the second day on the General Council Meeting held at Council Secretariat Conference Hall, here today.
Minister for Cooperatives and Ladakh Affairs, Chering Dorjay, Executive Councilor for Agriculture  Tsering Wangdus, Executive Councilor for Health Gyal P Wangyal, Executive Councilor for Tourism Tsering Sandup, Executive Councilor for Animal and Sheep Husbandry and Cooperatives Mumtaz Hussain, besides Councilors of Hill Council, Deputy  Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC, Leh Avny Lavasa and Head of departments of various departments were present on the occasion.
Dorje Motup informed the house that LAHDC is making all out efforts to upgrade the Nyoma Hospital with central heating system.
The CEC asked the EC Cooperatives Mumtaz Hussain to provide fertilizer, rigpa and compost to the farmers on subsidy rates. He said that if farmers are not utilizing the fertilizer in their fields, you are ask to provide rigpa or compost in place of fertilizer for the convenience of farmer community.
Dorje Motup informed that LAHDC has provided an outlay Rs.151.50 crore for year 2018-19 under agriculture sector for boosting the agriculture production in the district. He informed that the LAHDC has provided Rs.88 lakh an outlay amount under Animal Husbandry Deptt.
The CEC informed that Planning & Development Department has conveyed a ceiling of Rs.83.98 lakh has been provided to Horticulture Department, Rs.19.15 lakh to Wild Life, Rs.19.16 lakh to Handloom Department, Rs.24.01 crore to Rural Development (NREGA), Rs.5.26 crore to Irrigation Departmen, Rs. 6.91 cr under Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, Rs. 17.83 cr Rashtrya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan, Rs. 0.86 lakh under mid-day meal and Rs. 81.02 cr under other sectors of Leh district.
The CEC asked the officers of concerned departments to gear up their man and machinery in providing modern and basic amenities across the district.
Dorjey Motup directed the ECs to come up with the new projects under PHE, R&B, PDD, Education, Health, Cooperative, Animal and Sheep Husbandry besides other sectors for the convenience of the general masses.
 He directed the officers to complete ongoing projects in the district under your allied department within stipulated time frame by using quality material.
CEC asked the concerned department to train the farmers for preparing compost in their respective villages for less utilization of chemical fertilizers.
 EC Handicraft Tsering Sandup requested the CEC for establishment of Handicraft and Handloom centres at Durbuk.
Responding to the demand put forth by the EC Handicraft, the CEC said that LAHDC is keen to promote handicraft and handloom products across the district by establishing new centers there so that unemployed youth could start their own ventures after getting training under both the sectors.
He asked to prepare self help groups at village levels for increasing the production of handicraft and handloom products. He directed to open handicraft and handloom centers at Nubra at the available building.
 Under education sector CEC asked the EC Education to start IT and smart classes in all the schools. He asked for posting of warden in the girls hostel, Bothi language, and other subject required teachers in schools so that quality education to be provided to the students across the district.
 CEC asked the EC Forest Gyal P Wangyal to develop all the degraded areas of the forest with green cover by planting ornamental and fruit plants. He said that trees provide healthy environment to the people. He said being a high altitude place 'it is the duty of the forest department to develop every open space of the district with green gold'. He directed to fence all the open spaces of the forest closures with chain link fences for avoiding encroachment of the forest land.
 The CEC asked the EC Parks and Gardens Gyal P Wangyal to develop Nyoma, Durbuk, Nubra and city parks on modern lines so that the people could enjoy their spare time with full joy.  
 Minister for Cooperatives and Ladakh Affairs, Chering Dorjay assured the house that he will facilitate one smart class to each councilor constituency. He asked them to provide list of one school of their areas.
The DC Leh Avny Lavasa informed the house that District Administration has submitted a proposal to the Finance Department for increasing diet chart in residential schools adding that immediately after receiving approval from finance department, the diet of the students would be increased. She said that District Administration is making tireless efforts to provide all infrastructure facilities to the students in all schools so that they could get quality education without any inconvenience.
AD Tourism directs hotels, guest houses & others for registration
Kargil/April 12/ The Assistant Director Tourism Kargil (Prescribed Authority under Tourist Trade Act) has directed all hotels, tourist camps, guest house operators, travel, Hajj, Umrah, Ziarat, excursion agents and dealers operating in the district who are carrying their business under tourist trade without proper and valid registration to get their units immediately registered as per the J&K Tourist Trade Act 1978. Further the units whose registrations have expired have also been asked to renew their registration certificates well in time.
A notification issued in this regard reads that penalty shall be imposed and deregistration will be initiated under relevant provisions against the units who fail to carry out their registration within 10 days from the date of issue of the notice.
Moreover the registered hotels, tourist camps and guest house operators have been advised to keep their units properly functional in all respects and ready for stay of intending tourists in view of the starting of tourist season with the opening of Zojila Pass.

Food Craft Institute Leh Seeks application from aspirants

Kargil/April 12/As per a notification of the Assistant Director Tourism Kargil the Chief Executive Officer Leh Development Authority (Principal Food Craft Institute Leh) has issued an advertisement notice for admission of aspiring candidates for admission to one and half years diploma courses in different fields of Hotel Management.
The application forms and other details related to the training programme can be had from the office of Assistant Director Tourism Kargil from 12th to 25th April 2018 during office hours.
ADC issues schedule for Aadhar Enrolment of Achambur to Rangdum Moza
Kargil/April 12/ As per a public notice issued by the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kargil the Aadhar Biometric Enrolment in case of the people of Achambur Tangole, Parkachik Moza and Rangdum Moza shall be held at Tehsil Office Baroo on 16th, 17th and 18th April, 2018 respectively.

Dorjey stresses for availing Cooperative schemes

Leh/April11/ Minister for Ladakh Affairs and Cooperatives Chering Dorjey Lakrook has said that government has loan facilities to farmer community through National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC) for increasing their agriculture and milk products across Leh district.
 This was stated by the Minister Dorjey while interacting with the representatives of Cooperative Marketing Societies and self-reliant of Leh, Changthang, Kharu, Sakti, and Sham areas at DC Conference hall today.
 In the meeting a detailed discussion on benefits in different commodities like milk production, fruit production like apricot and seabuckthron, vegetables, and wide range of by-products, value addition possibilities like tetra packaging and other components was held.
 He asked the representatives of cooperative societies for proper awareness of NCDC project so that the farmer community could become fully aware of the benefits under the scheme and asked them to get feedback for formulating further steps in this direction.
 The meeting was attended by the officers of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, DIHAR, and SDM Nubra, Councillor Skyurbuchan and officers and officials of the Cooperative Department.

Training programme for newly appointed PLVs concludes at Kargil

Kargil/April11/ The three days training programme for the newly appointed Para Legal Volunteers (PLVs) concluded today at District Court Complex, Kargil. The training programme organized by the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Kargil was held with the objective to enlighten the PLVs about the constitutional and statutory rights and duties, general civil, criminal substantial and procedural laws, problems and issues of law and society as well as the special issued related to various sections of the society.
 The programme was organized under the overall supervision of the Chairman District Legal Services Authority and Principal District & Session Judge Kargil, Sanjiv Kumar Bhagat and was attended among others by the Chairman Tehsil Legal Services Committee Kargil and Chief Judicial Magistrate Spalzes Angmo, advocates of Bar Association Kargil and retainer lawyers.
  Speaking on the occasion the Chairman District Legal Services Authority said that the training programme has been organized with the objective to provide necessary procedural awareness pertaining to the working of Legal Services Authorities and services provided under the Legal Services Authorities Act so as to maximize the access of justice delivery system at grass root level.
While impressing upon the PLVs to make every possible use of the knowledge acquired from the training session the Principal District and Session Judge said that they are expected to provide satisfactory legal awareness and services by acting as a bridge between legal services authority and the public besides to update the Legal Services Authority about any kind of injustice and human rights violations.
Meanwhile the speakers underlined the importance of the fundamental rights and duties and exhorted upon the volunteers to get themselves well acquainted with the various provisions of the Indian Penal Code and Criminal Procedure Code besides acquiring knowledge pertaining to fundamental rights, labor laws, arrest procedures and protection, women empowerment, juvenile justice, protection of children from sexual offences act and senior citizen act to help the needy.
The speakers also impressed upon the volunteers to acquire necessary knowledge to help people in drafting petitions and educate them on alternative conciliation available in Lok Adalats.
During the course of the training programme the PLVs were also provided information on Human Rights, Right to Information Act, Consumer Protection Act, Protection of Civil Rights Act, Domestic Violence Act and Rules, Child Marriage Restraint Act and Rules and Prohibition of Harassment of Women.
Labour Officer Kargil Nissar Hussain, Advocate Reyaz Ahmad, ministerial staff of the court, staff members of Prosecuting Wing besides the Para Legal Volunteers (PLVs) attended the programme.

BMO Sankoo Launches cleaning programme under SBM

Sankoo/9 April/The Community Health Centre Sankoo Kargil launched Swachhatta Pakhwada Swachhatta Si Siddhi on Monday under Swachh Bharat Mission.
This massive campaign was organized by Block Medical officer Community Health Centre Sankoo Kargil.
In this cleaning  campaign, around hundred of paramedical staff' of community health centre actively participated in the cleaning of hospital underground.
The campaign was flagged off from hospital premises by the Block Medical Officer Sankoo Dr Munnawar Hussain Wazir.In this clean campaign the paramedical staff's of CHC Sankoo has collected a huge quantity of garbage and disposed it off.
While talking to Media Dr Munnawar Hussain Wazir Block Medical Officer Sankoo said that" Swachhatta Pakhwada Swachhatta started on 1st April to 15 April 2018 with the objective of bringing a fortnight of intense focus in the practice of swachhatta by engaging people. This initiative was introduced by our Hon'ble Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi  as Sawach Baharta Abiyan to mark total and vision of clean India.
He further added that Swachhatta Pakhwada Swachhatta Si Siddhi"means  aiming to clean surrounding and clean the hospital and create awareness.
