DC Chairs DLRC Meeting, Urges For Completion Of Targets

Kargil, June 2018(News Desk,VOL): Deputy Commissioner and CEO, LAHDC Kargil Vikas Kundal on Saturday chaired a meeting of the District Level Review Committee/District Consultative Committee (DLRC/DCC) for the quarter ending March 2018 and reviewed the flow of credit, performance of banks in key areas with regard to deposits and lending, advances under priority sector and Government Sponsored Schemes under Annual Credit Plan 2017-2018. Senior functionaries of the RBI, representatives of different banks and the departmental heads of the line departments including Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, DIC, KVIB, Social Welfare, State Housing Board, NRLM and other line departments attended the meeting. During the course of the meeting the DC reviewed the progress of cases under PMEGP, KVIB, KVIC, DIC, NULM, NRLM, PMAWY, Mudra Loan, DEDS, KCC, Handloom, Handicraft and other sectors with special emphasis on credit linkage of borrower under these schemes.
Thorough discussions and deliberations were held with regard to the current position of deposits, advances, CD Ratio and advances under credit linked schemes.
Meanwhile the Lead District Manager, Kargil Rajesh Yadav informed the meeting that various banks in the district have recorded 1190.96 crores in deposits and 466.37 crores in advances with the CD ratio of 39.16% up to ending March 2018.        
    While underlining the importance of close coordination between banks and the line departments in extending satisfactory facilities to beneficiaries under different schemes, the DC stressed upon them to generate awareness of the systems and procedures so that maximum beneficiaries are credit linked under various schemes for generation of employment by way of setting up new units of economic activities.
The Deputy Commissioner called for comprehensive and timely accomplishment of the targets earmarked for the financial year 2018-2019 thereby paving way to provide more economic development opportunities to the beneficiaries. He also emphasized for proper implementation of government sponsored schemes to increase the credit deposit ratio of the financial institutions further directing the bankers to intensify their efforts to increase CD ratio up to 50% in the district.
The DC stressed upon the concerned departments and financial institutions to work for overall development of the district with added zeal and seriousness. He laid emphasis on eradication of unemployment of educated youths by way of sponsorship and hassle free lending facilities for establishment of income generating units.
Stressing on collaborative efforts by the banks and line departments in holding awareness camps on regular basis in the remote and far off areas of the district, the DC said that this will go a long way in creating necessary awareness among the people especially the unemployed youth about PMEGP, Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana and other credit linked schemes.

Training Programme For Hajj Pilgrims Held At Kargil 

Kargil, June 2018(News Desk,VOL): The State Hajj Committee, J&K in collaboration with the Hajj Committee of India and District Administration Kargil today conducted the 2nd and final phase of training programme for the selected Hajj pilgrims of District Kargil at Conference Hall Baroo here today.
As many as 100 prospective pilgrims of the district were imparted training for this year's pilgrimage by the representatives of the State Hajj Committee and Hajj Committee of India.
The Hajis were imparted practical training and information in detail about the Hajj rituals as well as logistic support.
The trainers gave thorough information and training to the pilgrims with regard to matters pertaining to boarding, lodging, accommodation, currency exchange and other activities to be performed during the pilgrimage. They were also briefed about important documents and luggage to be carried along. Meanwhile Hajis expressed gratitude to the district administration for their cooperation and effective management in ensuring a successful and smooth pilgrimage for them.. (Contd.at12)

4-day Teacher Training Concluded at Musallai Imam Khomeni

Kargil, June 2018(News Desk, VOL): A four day teacher's training programme  for the teachers of Dar-ul-Quran  concluded on 27th June at Musallah Imam Khomeni Minji Gund. This training was organized by Baseej-e-Ruhani, the seminary organ of Imam Khomieni Memorial Trust, Kargil. In this concluding programme apart from the trainees (teachers), religious scholars of IKMT, students from Jamia Imam Khomieni, faculty members, Presidents of various other organs/branches of IKMT Kargil and prominent citizens were also present on the occasion. The programme was presided over by Sheikh Mohammed Mohqiq, the Chairman of Guardian Council, IKMT. Aga Syed Kazim Sabri, Sheikh Mohammed Hussain Lutfi and Haji Asgar Ali Karbalai, Member Legislative Assembly were also present there as special guests. The programme began with recitation of Holy Quran by a student of Houzia Imam Khomeni. After that the Vice-Chairman, Baseej-e-Ruhanian, presenting the welcome speech deliberated on the objectives and aim of the 4-day capacity building programme for the teachers. Elaborating he said that this year they invited local trainers/facilitators and experts for this programme. He also said that this progarmme began on 24th June and concluded after four days of intense training on various teaching methodologies and teacher-student communication. This also included focus on pronunciation and grammar, he added.
 Speaking on the occasion Sheikh Mohammed Hussain Lutfi , Sheikh Issa Hafizi, Sheikh Ali Zada, and Sheikh Ibrahim Karimi elaborated on grammar regarding Holy Quran, teaching methodology. Nasir-ud-din Khafi( expert on education) and Mohd Yusuf (teacher) spoke on the modern and knowledge and  methodology. Dr Villayat Ali, Physician Specialist spoke on Health Education. Speaking on the occasion Sheikh Hassan Muqaddisi appreciated the  role and efforts of late Sheikh Mohammed Zakri and said that it is due to his vision and efforts that the religious scholars and teachers today are benefitting from such useful programmes. During the programme a video depicting the overall role and programmes of Baseej-e-Ruhanian. This video was prepared by the members of Baseej-e Ruhanian. Speaking on the occasion and representing lady teachers,  Khanum Kaneez said that this training was very useful for the teachers and thanked and appreciated the efforts of IKMT in this regard. Appreciating the efforts of the members of Baseej-e Ruhanian, Asgar Ali Karbalai, Member Legislative Assembly, Kargil said that such useful initiatives need to be strengthened further by including physical education as an integral part of the training programme. He also urged the teachers to transfer the knowledge gained during the training programme to the students in the class rooms. Referring to the saying of the Supreme Leader, he said that the teachers should not become a reason of discouraging the students. Rather they should show patience while handling the students so that these students become confident and productive citizens of the society, he added. He also said that the religious scholars should make it a point to be in their religious attire as this dress is their identity. Presenting the presidential address, Sheikh Mohammed Mohqiq, the Chairman of Guardian Council, IKMT, said that the teachers are the guardian of the society and they should also realize the importance of their role in the society. With concluding prayers he concluded the programme.  

CEC  For Early Redressal Of Land Issues 

Kargil, June 2018 (News Desk, VOL): Chairman and Chief Executive Councilor (CEC), LAHDC, Kargil Kacho Ahmad Ali Khan, recently  stressed for necessary measures to address the issues with regard to the exchange of land between the LAHDC and Army authorities at Lower Kurbathang Plateau, Upper Plateau Maratha Ground, Mulbekh and other related areas.
The CEC stated this while chairing a meeting which was convened to address the issues related to extraction of bajri and the construction of Eklavya Model Residential School in the district.
Executive Councilor for Power Advocate Muhammad Amir, Deputy Commissioner Kargil Vikas Kundal, Brigade Commander 121 Infantry Brigade Manraj Mann, Councillor Pashkum Kacho M. Feroze , Additional Deputy Commissioner Kargil Imteeaz Kacho, SE PWD Sarwan Singh, Assistant Director Information Kargil Abdul Ahad Bhat, District Mineral Officer Kargil besides other concerned officers were present in the meeting. During the course of the meeting threadbare discussion was held with regard to the terms and conditions as laid in the MoU between Army and the Civil Administration with regard to the evacuation of land at Lower Kurbathang Plateau and issuance of NOCs in terms of land patches to be occupied by the Army in Kargil district.
 It was decided in the meeting that as an immediate measure, the LAHDC and the Army authorities will in near future affect an agreement for the exchange of certain portions of land at Lower Kurbathang Plateau and Upper Plateau Maratha Ground for taking up various works.
The CEC directed the concerned to work out the modalities for finalizing the exchange of land by involving officers from both sides so that optimal utilization of the land patches is being made at the earliest.

Kundal Inspects Main Bazar Kargil, New Bus Stand, Hussani Park

Kargil, June 2018 (News Desk,VOL):  Deputy Commissioner and CEO LAHDC, Kargil Vikas Kundal recently inspected Main Bazar Kargil, New Bus Stand and Hussani Park and took stock of the facilities available to the public at these places.
A team of officers including Municipal Authorities of district Kargil accompanied the Deputy Commissioner during his tour.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned officers to immediately carry out temporary repairs of the main road passing through Kargil town and asked the Municipal Authorities to construct some community urinals on road sides at Main Bazar Kargil immediately.
Kundal also directed the concerned to start immediate blacktopping of the major roads of Kargil town and adjoining areas within a week's time besides ensuring the repairs and renovation of lanes and drains in Main Bazar and the link road at New Bus Stand.
The DC also asked the concerned to make sure that there should be no illegal structures on the foot paths in the Main Bazar and instructed them that any violation in this regard would not be tolerated.
 During his inspection at Hussani Park, the DC instructed the Public Health Engineering Department to ensure immediate repairs of the bore well there and asked them to ensure adequate water facilities to the newly constructed Community Toilet Unit by the Municipal Committee as well as the offices around the Hussani Park.
While taking stock of the status of the protection bund along Suru River near New Bus Strand, the DC directed the concerned to start immediate renovation of these protection bunds.
The DC also asked all the concerned to speed up the pace of work on all ongoing developmental works and complete them in the stipulated time frame. He also asked them to make use of the available funds in a judicious manner.

Gyal P Wangyal Inaugrtes LEHPEX 2018

Leh, June (News Desk,VOL): EC Health Gyal P Wangyal inaugurated the 4th district level LEHPEX-2018, Leh Philatelic Exhibition at Ladakh Public School auditorium hall, Leh recently . The exhibition is being organized by Superintendent Post Offices, Ladakh Division, Leh.
On the occasion a special cover on Druk Padma Krpo School, Shey by Department of Posts, Government of India was released by the chief guest on the occasion Gyal P. wangyal. Principal Druk Padma Karpo School, Shey, GM BSNL Phuntsog Dorjey, Col Sheshala Army Postal Services, Principal LPS P.C. Belwal, Officers and staff of Leh Postal Department and school/college students were also present on the occasion. The chief guest also inspected the philatelic exhibition and praised the participation of local students on the subject and efforts made by the Postal Department. General Manager, BSNL.
 Addressing the gathering Gyal P Wangyal said that stamp collection teaches three important things that includes increasing one's general knowledge, works as a high value investment and take it as a hobby. He stressed on motivating children to take philately as a hobby and appreciated Postal Department to initiate steps in this direction through this first of its kind exhibition. He urged the department to continue such events in coming years and ensure participation of students from different sub divisions of Leh district. He emphasized on the need to explore and educate students and people about the importance of philately. He expressed gaiety to see children's participation in various competitions on philately and appreciated their interest through their write-ups on different stamps.
Gyal P Wangyal made a suggestion to the Chief Post Master General, J&K, P.D. Tsering to strengthen the post office branch opened in different villages in the district. He pointed out the non serious, careless attitude of postmen in Leh and stressed on the need to make them more responsible in efficient delivery of postal services in the district. He said that compare to other places Leh district is a huge area with sparsely scattered population and postal services has great importance here despite its decline in popularity due to internet facility. He urged Tsering La to highlight Ladakhi culture and tradition through their stamps. He assured full support to postal department from Hill Council to improve their service quality in the district.
Chief Post Master General, J&K, P.D. Tsering spoke about thematic collection of stamps and urged the students and others to start with philately as their hobby which is called the king of hobbies and hobbies of kings. He said that postal department is working hard to upgrade the postal service system in Ladakh which he assured will improve transaction and speedy postal delivery in the region.
Superintendent Post Offices, Ladakh Division Chandra Mohan Bhat and Assistant Suptd Post, Leh also spoke on the occasion.
Students of Jamyang School, Leh presented a folk song and dance of Hanu beautifully dressed in traditional Brokpa attire on the occasion.
Later in the day various competitions on stamp design, letter writing, quiz, philately workshop and a documentary on philately was also presented.
